Extracurricular activities are any activities a student does that are outside of the required academic curriculum. Extracurricular activities are positive for all children's wellbeing. As Kindersteps focus on the overall development of the child, we provide equal importance to promote extracurricular activities at school. Activities include Skating, Karate, Yoga, Dance, Music, Art & Craft etc. Karate training is ideal for children as young as at the age of four as it is also a good way to sharpen fine motor skills, gain positive traits such as increased self-esteem, respect and overall physical fitness. By practicing yoga poses, children can learn how to exercise, develop confidence, and concentrate better. As children encounter emotional, social, and physical challenges or conflicts, a dedicated and intentional yoga practice that includes breathing techniques, behavioral guidelines, and physical postures can be incredibly valuable for them. Research has shown that school yoga has many benefits. Aside from the benefits that yoga has on the physical well-being of children, school yoga has shown to reduce problem behavior, test anxiety and anger. Kindersteps initiates Karate and Yoga training for kids from Kindergarten itself. Children involved in music activities are often better adjusted, with increased academic performance, ability to think creatively, emotional understanding, and emotional expression. Children involved in music typically have better memory skills than those who are not musically trained.
